Prof. Harish C. Phuleria

Associate Professor

Research Interest:

  • Emission characterisation from major sources such as road traffic, biomass cooking and heating, open-field stubble burning, brick kilns
  • Environmental health and risk assessment
  • Development of source emissions factors
  • Assessing chemical and optical properties of atmospheric aerosols
  • Measuring and modeling long-term exposures to outdoor air pollution in communities
  • Modeling effect of air pollution on respiratory health
  • Occupational exposure and health assessment, e.g. in coal mines, quarries and taxi drivers
  • Measuring toxicity of atmospheric and sources aerosols
  • Measuring and modeling personal and indoor air pollution exposures
  • Quantifying toxic chemical doses in human tissues
  • Understanding the emissions from vehicular/ biomass emissions sources, monitoring and modelling the long-term air pollution exposures in various urban/ rural microenvironments
  • Quantifying toxic air pollution chemicals in human tissues and examining the association of air pollution exposures with health effects in children and adults.
  • Environmental noise exposure and annoyance assessment
