Centre for Climate Studies
The Centre for Climate Studies (CCS) was initiated at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, in January, 2012, at the doctoral level as an interdisciplinary program. The mandate of the Centre for Climate Studies is to undertake interdisciplinary research and education to develop a scientific understanding of regional climate change and connect it to its impacts (environment, resources, socio-economic) and effective responses (technology and adaptation).

Assistant Professor My research interests are in evolutionary theory, vegetation modelling, and climate change. My current work focuses on developing eco-evolutionary vegetation models to understand the role of biodiversity and adaptation in forest responses to climate change. Assistant Professor We apply analytical and numerical techniques to study the fluid dynamics of climate processes, ranging from the microphysics of clouds and the convection-driven melting of sea ice to the flow in and around buildings in urban settings. Assistant Professor I am a physical oceanographer exploring the role of ocean circulation in climate. I have worked on understanding how small-scale turbulence could influence large-scale ocean circulation.
