I aim to understand how leaves achieve optimality by differentially prioritising their investment strategies between photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic activities, under different environmental and nutrient drivers, and how this may impact conservation and restoration dynamics at the species level.

My research interests are in evolutionary theory, vegetation modelling, and climate change. My current work focuses on developing eco-evolutionary vegetation models to understand the role of biodiversity and adaptation in forest responses to climate change.
