We the Hydro-Remote Sensing Applications (H-RSA) Group led by Dr. RAAJ Ramsankaran mainly focus on the use of satellite, GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and aerial remote sensing measurements to study various aspects of water cycle.

Our Ecohydrology Group at IIT Bombay works on four key areas 1) microwave remote sensing of soil moisture and vegetation, 2) soil-vegetation-atmosphere interactions, 3) modeling and prediction of droughts and heatwaves, and 4) hyper-resolution land surface modeling.
